In a major breakdown , News channels revealed the Scandal in the 5000 DDA flats alloted in the month of Decemeber 2008. There were around 5 Lakh applications for these 5000 flats and when results were declared, they raised some eyebrows. Majority of the allotees were the ones who did not applied for the application via a bank finance. Now after 3 weeks, on recheking some of the allotees application it has come to limelight that there was something fishy. Around 7 alloted flats belonging to different name but having the same Telephone number raised the eyebrows. On contacting the Number, the person concerned says, that he never applied for DDA, so how come his name or phone number came into draw. BJP has asked for a CBI inquiry and may be the draw would be cancelled and a fresh round of draw may happen in coming months.

London was gripped by a terrorist threat on Friday when police found two Mercedes sedans packed with gasoline, nails and gas canisters that had been parked near Piccadilly Circus in the bustling West End entertainment district.

The police defused both bombs, but had they exploded, “there could have been significant injury or loss of life,” Peter Clarke, Britain’s senior counterterrorism police officer, told reporters.

Hours later, Clarke told another news conference at New Scotland Yard that the second car, illegally parked on Cockspur Street a few hundred yards from the first in Haymarket, had been rigged like the first, adding: “The vehicles are clearly linked.”
